Our School of Computing is ranked 9th for Computer Science in the UK (The Complete University Guide, 2021).

Our specialist Centre for Doctoral Training in Artificial Intelligence for Medical Diagnosis and Care focuses on the innovative technologies in the field of Artificial Intelligence. It gives us strong research capability in this fast-paced discipline of AI.

Over 85% of the School’s research activity in Computer Science was classified as “world leading” or “internationally excellent” in the latest Research Excellence Framework.
