What is the course?

Our Masters is one of the very few online courses that integrates the two areas of fashion marketing and design management, drawing on expertise from leading academics in the School of Design. For maximum flexibility, there are two pathways to choose from:

The Masters (MA) pathway: study nine 15-credit taught modules and a 45-credit research project module over a minimum of 24 months.

The Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) pathway: study four 15-credit modules over a minimum of eight months.

What will I learn?

The course is designed to help fashion professionals lead the delivery of global design strategies and drive brand innovation and business solutions, through a variety of modules including:

International Fashion Marketing and Creative Brand Management: exploring the basics of fashion marketing and the analytical tools used to form the basis of creative branding in an international context.

Case Studies in Global Fashion and Sustainability: studying the theories used to undertake critical analysis of case studies across the international fashion value chain, from fibre development, cloth making, garment design and manufacture and retail (bricks and mortar and digital platforms).

Strategic Digital Marketing for Fashion: enhancing awareness and knowledge of key concepts in digital marketing in the fashion industry by collecting and analysing data from multiple resources, to answer managerial questions related to digital fashion marketing.

How is the programme taught?

To support the increased demand for distance learning courses, the fashion marketing Masters is taught 100% online. As a result, students will connect with industry professionals across the world and benefit from networking opportunities in the form of regular discussions with leading academics, group activities with like-minded peers, bi-weekly fashion forums and a dedicated LinkedIn group for the course.

Applications for our next intake in September are now open, and with six start dates to choose from throughout the academic year (January, March, May, July, September, November), online learning can commence whenever suits best.

Lead the Future of Fashion with an online Masters in fashion from the University of Leeds.

“The course will help diversify our portfolio and provides a brilliant opportunity for students from across the world to study with us”
